  3. Operational intelligence and labor savings

Outcome: I drove >$100,000/year in labor savings through monitoring-led workflow improvements.

Signal: A global Dynamics 365 environment needed stronger observability and faster root-cause analysis across more than 40,000 active users.

Decision: I implemented infrastructure resource monitoring and used the resulting operational data to improve team allocation and workflows.

Leadership philosophy

I lead by connecting resilient cloud operations, disciplined software delivery, responsible AI experimentation, and empowered teams.

Resilient operations keep systems dependable and financially accountable; disciplined delivery turns sound architecture into repeatable outcomes; responsible AI experimentation makes new capabilities useful without outrunning the evidence; and empowered teams create the clarity and autonomy to sustain delivery.

My role is to make those connections visible in the decisions, measures, and working habits that move a team forward.

Focus areas

Four connected disciplines shape how I turn technical decisions into dependable outcomes.

  1. Cloud Operations and Management

Make infrastructure resilient, observable, and financially accountable.

How this shows up: I lead AWS and Azure platform operations, infrastructure automation, enterprise integrations, and FinOps practices across complex environments.

Evidence: I managed a highly resilient Multi-AZ AWS environment and forecasted a cloud budget above $1 million with under 1% variance.

  2. Integrating AI into Software

Use grounded experimentation to make AI useful and explainable.

How this shows up: I designed and built a proof of concept that assigned ICD-10 codes to medical records using grounded knowledge sources.

Evidence: I keep this work scoped as a proof of concept for responsible, knowledge-grounded AI integration.

  3. Software Design and Delivery

Turn architecture and delivery practices into repeatable outcomes.

How this shows up: I guide greenfield cloud architecture, CI/CD modernization, configuration management, and vendor or CRM integrations.

Evidence: I migrated delivery workflows from Azure Pipelines to GitHub Actions and standardized infrastructure deployment with modular CloudFormation.

  4. Building Effective Teams

Create the clarity and autonomy teams need to deliver consistently.

How this shows up: I lead Agile engineering teams through measurable delivery goals, operational change, and sustainable team practices.

Evidence: Engineering teams I led achieved 100% of project KPIs over a multi-year span with 0% turnover across a 12-month period.

Selected projects

Tools I built to test secure agent workflows and turn ambitious product ideas into usable software.

  1. PyPI Supply Chain Security Scanner

I built a pre-install gate that resolves Python dependencies and checks canonical package hashes before pip can execute third-party code.

    • Python
    • PyPI API
    • VirusTotal API
    • Docker
    • SQLite

    PyPI Supply Chain Security Scanner

I designed the scanner for autonomous development environments where an agent can install a misspelled, hallucinated, or newly published package without a human reviewing it first.

The CLI can fail closed on artifacts without an established reputation or isolate an artifact in a constrained Docker sandbox for further analysis.

    • Resolves direct and transitive dependencies before installation.
    • Compares PyPI SHA-256 metadata with VirusTotal reputation data.
    • Supports a transparent pip shim, local result caching, and configurable unknown-package policy.

  2. Retro2K

I built a browser-based SNES and PS1 emulator proof of concept with WebAssembly cores, controller mapping, local save states, and touch-first layouts.

    • React
    • TypeScript
    • WebAssembly
    • IndexedDB
    • Gamepad API

    Retro2K

I built Retro2K with my daughter to test whether agentic steering could support a complete product workflow from interface concept through integration and refinement.

It is an open-source emulator frontend: it does not distribute commercial games, and users are responsible for providing legally acquired backups.

    • Integrates browser-based emulator cores with keyboard, gamepad, and touch controls.
    • Stores custom ROM metadata and visual save states locally with IndexedDB.
    • Adapts the emulator stage and controls for desktop, portrait, and landscape play.
